Stained Glass Classes
Stained glass is the art of joining colored glass pieces using lead, copper foil, or other methods to create luminous designs. Traditionally seen in windows, it transforms light into vibrant storytelling through intricate patterns and imagery. This centuries-old craft blends technical precision with artistic expression, making each piece a unique interplay of color and light.
At Maine Art Glass, we offer two levels of courses; Introduction to Stained Glass and the Advanced Open Workshops.
Beginning students learn glass-cutting techniques and copper foil assembly. You can soon create suncatchers, panels, lampshades, and a variety of other beautiful projects of your choice.
Participants who choose to continue through Advanced Open Workshops, can explore new possibilities in came assembly, fusing, slumping, painting and enameling, mosaic methods, plus etching and sandblasting techniques.
The goal of our classes is to help you plan, execute and successfully finish the desired project.
